A noted authority in the training and learning field, he speaks extensively in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Marc has created more than 100 software games, including games2train.com products, business simulations and trading games. All are designed to address a changing work force and bridge the chasm between the "Digital Native" and "Digital Immigrant" Generations. His creations, Straight Shooter! (for Bankers Trust) and The Monkey Wrench Conspiracy (for think3 software) are the world's first fast-action videogame based training systems. His Internet Game-Based Learning products, Learning Solitaire, The Challenge, Are Your Sure? and others, break the mold of what is typically available as Internet training.

Marc has been featured in articles in the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and has contributed to a number of business publications. His article "Twitch Speed," was a cover story of the Conference Board's magazine, Across the Board. Numerous articles have been written about his work, including a cover story of Training magazine, and features in Fast Company, Time Digital, and Newsweek. He has appeared on television on CNBC, CNN/fn, and on the PBS show Computer Currents. Marc's book, Digital Game-Based Learning was published in 2001 by McGraw-Hill.

Prior to launching games2train.com as an independent company, Marc was a vice president at the global financial firm Bankers Trust, where he founded Corporate Gameware, the predecessor to games2train.com, as an internal startup. Before that Marc spent six years as vice president of a Boston-based software company, where he developed the first multimedia learning applications for Harvard Business School, JP Morgan, The Boston Consulting Group, and many other clients. Earlier in his career, Marc was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and that firm’s first Product Development Director. Before attending business school, he spent several years as an actor and musician, and taught math and reading in New York City’s East Harlem neighborhood.

Marc earned a BA from Oberlin College, an MBA from the Harvard Business School with distinction, and masters degrees from Middlebury and Yale.
